Prepare to Make a Difference
UAlbany transfer students, led by the University’s Transfer Transition Leaders (TTLs), have donated and assembled approximately 100 care packages for the Senior Services of Albany’s Meals on Wheels Program. The group’s care packages will be delivered to local residents on Thanksgiving Day.
On Dec. 1, The University at Albany Foundation will again look to inspire the University community and beyond to show its support through a 24-hour giving challenge, known as UAlbany Giving Tuesday. This event joins a nationally recognized campaign designed to highlight the benefits of charity and occurs annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving.

As relations between the U.S. and Cuba thaw, American curiosity about the Caribbean nation grows. In the past year, there were more U.S. visitors to Cuba than from any other nation; University at Albany doctoral student and lecturer Nicholas Figueroa was one of them.
It was a historic weekend for UAlbany sports teams as women’s soccer capped their best season Division I history Friday night, losing to Penn State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Meanwhile the women's basketball team opened their campaign with a 64-49 victory over visiting Pepperdine on Sunday.

A new project being launched by UAlbany Associate Professor of Chemistry Rabi Musah aims to improve data collection efforts at crime scenes by reducing the amount of time required by CSIs to examine and confirm abused plant residue.
