How do I join the IST-L listserv?
Send an email to the listserv using the following information:
- To: listserv@listserv.albany.edu
- From: (The address you wish to recieves messages)
- Subject: (Leave Blank)
- Body: Subscribe IST-L firstname lastname

Why do I get an 'Active Content' warning?
Our website uses external JavaScript that allows us to have rounded corners. It is safe to allow access to this content. If you do not allow access, then the only difference with the site you'll experience is squared corners. You can prevent this error by adding UAlbany's site to your Safe List.
How do I add UAlbany's website to my Safe List?
- Browse to Control Panel > Internet Properties (or Tools > Options)
- Click the Security tab
- Click Trusted sites
- Click the Sites button
- Un-check the box next to "Require server verification (https:)"
- Type in *.albany.edu into the box that says Add this Web site...
- Click the Add button (you should wind up like the box below)
- Click OK to close Trusted sites, then OK to close Internet Properties
This is only necesary when using Internet Explorer 6 under Windows.
