Extreme Lounge Makeover: Digital Photo Drive

We are looking for pictures of libraries to redecorate the student lounge.

Anyone can participate. All you need is an email address and access to a computer and a digital camera.

Here's how it works:

  1. Take photos of you local library (or your favorite libraries) with your digital camera.

  2. Go online and upload your photos to any of the following photo album applications.
    • Facebook (join our group and submit your photos directly)
    • Flickr (easier if you have a Yahoo! email account)
    • Picasa (easier if you have a Gmail email account)
  3. Tag the photos you submit "IS-SA".

The photos will eventually be used to make posters and murals. Photos of archive, college, public, school, and special libraries are encouraged.

In addition to photos, we are also accepting donations of furniture, artwork, and especially Poster Frames.

Donations can be dropped off at the Department of Information Studies Office located in Draper Hall on the Downtown Campus during normal business hours; the office number is 518-442-5115.

The Digital Photo Drive begins now and will continue through the end of the Spring semester.
